Nature Adventures: Mud Mania

Thursday, June 4, 9-10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-6. Find out how animals and humans use mud, do some mud painting and building! This is a LIVE Facebook event. No payment or registration is required.Simply login to Facebook and go to the Bear Creek Nature Center & Fountain Creek Nature Center Facebook page at 10:00 a.m.

Jr. Camp Aide Training

Thursday, June 4, 6–8 p.m.

Teens 14 years and older who have completed a written application, been interviewed, and been selected may attend this special training to prepare them for nature camp duties. At Fox Run Regional Park. Contact [email protected] for more information.

2s & 3s Outdoors: Cool Crickets

Thursday, June 18, 9-10:15 a.m.

Explore nature with your 2- or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Space is limited and prepaid registration is required.

Jr. Bird Club

Saturday, June 20, 8–11 a.m.

Nature lovers 8-17 years old are invited to join us to connect with the practice of birding and learn about nature and care for the environment along the way. In this meeting, we will learn about courtship, fledging chicks, nesting behaviors, and what it takes to make a good nursery. $5 per meeting or $25 for 6 meetings. Space is limited and prepaid registration is required.

Grandfather Cottonwood’s Birthday Party

Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.

Our beloved Grandfather Cottonwood Tree has passed 160 years without a party! Help us celebrate his first party ever with tree cookies, a craft, special activities, and characters. Geared towards a young audience with adults. Space is limited and prepaid registration is required. $4 per member, $5 per nonmember.
