Wildlife awareness: a reminder for drivers

Last week a doe pronghorn was fatally hit in Colorado Springs traffic. A couple witnessed the incident, saw the doe was giving birth and pulled the fawn from the mother. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were notified immediately and relocated the orphaned fawn to a rehab center. Officials remind the public that the area is home to a lot of wildlife, so stay aware of your surroundings while driving.
