Public input sought on county's hazard mitigation plan

This graphic shows the anticipated timeline for the hazard mitigation plan development and adoption process. To be completed by October, the plan update process will include public participation, updated and profiled hazards date for the entire county, and identification and prioritazation of mitigation projects.

Plan identifies local hazards, develops strategies to reduce risk and impact of disasters

The Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management (PPROEM) is updating the El Paso County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan and invites the public to provide input through July 21. The plan continues efforts to identify, assess, and prioritize goals and actions for mitigating the effects of natural and human-caused hazards in the county.
