Girl Scout goes for gold with project

An 18-year-old is capping off her Girl Scouts career with a project she hopes will benefit a local veterans' organization and bring the community together.
Madelyn Reynolds, a 2020 graduate of Widefield High School and member of Troop 42930, has just completed her Gold Award by designing and building an activity zone in the back area of VFW Post 6461. The space is called "Go Gold Gathering Grounds" and includes horseshoes, cornhole, ladder golf and volleyball areas.
