Applications for Military Service Academies, Class of 2025, now accepted by Lamborn's office

Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) is now accepting applications for students interested in seeking a nomination to one of our nation’s military service academies. The deadline for submitting a completed application to his office is Sept. 25.

To be considered for an appointment to a service academy, an applicant must meet the eligibility requirements established by law and receive a nomination from an authorized source such as their Member of Congress or one or both of their U.S. Senators. Applicants must reside within the geographical boundaries of Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District to be considered, except for those seeking a nomination to the United Merchant Marine Academy, who may apply to any of the federal representatives within Colorado.

Nominations, as well as appointments to the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Military Academy, are determined by rigorous, highly competitive selection processes. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy, however, does not require a nomination, but rather applicants will compete for appointments on a national scale.
