Hawaiian, Japanese restaurants preparing to open in Fountain

Arashi Sushi Hibachi & Grill

Two restaurants have announced they are opening in Fountain in the next month or so: Arashi Sushi Hibachi & Grill and Hangry Ohana.

A Hawaiian barbecue retaurant called Hangry Ohana is setting up in the former King's Chef Diner on Hwy. 85/87.

Arashi Sushi Hibachi & Grill will be located at 8035 Fountain Mesa Road, Suite 130, (right behind Culver's). According to the restaurant's website, it will be a "full service Japanese restaurant with an All-star sushi bar, a full kitchen menu along with Japanese beers and sake." Hangry Ohana will be located at 6436 Hwy. 85/87, the former home of a King's Chef Diner that closed permanently during the COVID-19 shutdown. On its website, Hangry Ohana's cuisine is described as "Hawaiian BBQ with a Texas twist." Hangry Ohana started as a food truck in June 2017, and then opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Parker in January 2018. The Fountain location is scheduled to open in early September. As of press time, Hangry Ohana is looking to hire employees for both its Fountain and Parker locations.
