The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash at I-25 and South Academy Boulevard just after 12 a.m. Sunday. The crash resulted in two fatalities.

A 2017 Harley Davidson driven by a 42-year-old male was traveling southbound [wrong way] on the northbound off ramp to South Academy. A 2003 Hummer H2 driven by a 63-year-old male was northbound on Interstate 25. The Harley’s front impacted the passenger front of the Hummer causing the motorcycle to travel in the opposite direction. Both the driver and passenger, a 39-year-old female, were killed in the crash. The driver of the Hummer suffered minor injuries and the passenger, a 56-year-old female, sustained serious injuries. Both vehicles caught fire from the collision.

The driver of the Harley Davidson was a soldier stationed at Fort Carson.
