Habitat for Humanity: Every hand makes a difference

A team from the El Paso County Department of Human Services and Stan VanderWerf, commissioner for El Paso County District 3, volunteered at the Habitat build site in Fountain last weekend.

Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity (PPHFH) celebrated its 2019 volunteers virtually this year with a video presentation via PPHFH's website, Facebook and YouTube channel. PPHFH postponed the Volunteer Appreciation Event in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Unable to reschedule it this fall, we made the difficult decision to officially cancel the in-person event and instead create a pre-recorded 2019 Volunteer Award Ceremony.
