Black Hills Energy requests rate review for natural gas system improvements

DENVER – On Friday, Black Hills Energy filed a regulatory rate review proposal with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission to recover critical enhancements made in safety and reliability for natural gas service to approximately 192,000 customers across more than 100 Colorado communities. In a separate filing, as required by the Colorado commission, the company is also proposing a five-year System Safety and Integrity Rider (SSIR) to prioritize safety-focused replacement projects using a consistent, long-term approach to benefit customers, regulators and the company.         ...
