The Xtreme Xperience supercar rental event took place at Pikes Peak International Raceway (PPIR) on Sept. 25. People who had purchased tickets selected a car, took a brief safety class and drove three to four laps in the car with an instructor beside them. This year had a special treat when physicist Sterling Backus and his son Xander showed up with a 3D-printed Lamborghini they built together. They talked about the building process for the car and their plans to show the car at schools to get kids interested in STEAM projects.
