Question: What or who is Adams Open Space named after?

Answer: Thanks to Pam Owens and Dorothy Christian Boyd, we have established that Adams Open Space is named after George David Adams (1896-1991). Born in St. Marys, W. Va., Adams lived intermittently in the Fountain Valley area from the 1930s to the 1980s. He was married to Ida May, and they had one daughter (name not established) in 1923. Adams owned the brick house and adjacent land south of Fountain where Main Street becomes Old Pueblo Road at the Valley Road intersection.
