Widefield High School students perform virtual Shakespeare play

Widefield High School students Leticia Martinez (playing Rosalind), Riley McCartey (playing Celia) and Matthew Kimminau (playing Duke Frederick) act out a scene from "As You Like It" by William Shakespeare, in which Duke Frederick banishes his niece Rosalind and his daughter Celia from his domain.
COVID-19 has created problems for many school programs, particularly drama and theater productions. Widefield High School Thespian Troupe 4202 got around the problem by performing a virtual version of William Shakespeare's play "As You Like It" against greenscreens, with all actors wearing masks.
"It really restricted our acting in the way that we had to learn to act with our eyes instead of just our body language and facial expressions," Benito Robson said.
