"Get used to disappointment." I'm glad I was familiar with this phrase before 2020. It has served me well this year, and I've used it on my kids many times recently.
School's back on; school's cancelled. Sports are a go - wait, nevermind.
Go out to eat for a special occasion? Sounds like a great idea, until the most recent restrictions take effect at 5 p.m. on said occasion.
I turned 40 this year (that's a whole disappointment on its own), but that means I'm old enough to be somewhat desensitized to disappointments. And the ones I don't want to deal with at a given moment, I know how to...
