Melanie Jo Wallace passed away on December 15, 2020, in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born on September 23, 1963, at Chemin Du Valton in Évreux, France, to W H Wallace and Barbara Joyce (Bryant) Wallace. Melanie was part of the class of 1981 from Widefield High School. She also attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Melanie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Widefield congregation. Her faith was very important to her.

Melanie volunteered at the Fountain Valley Senior Center for many years. Her time spent at the senior center was something she never wanted to miss. Melanie also made many friends when she lived at Broadmoor Court Assisted Living Center, and most recently, at Life Care Center in Colorado Springs. She greatly appreciated all of the nurses, CNAs, and doctors who cared for her during her lifetime.

Melanie was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister. She is survived by her brother, Stacy Wallace (Julia); niece, Camdyn Wallace; nephew, Andrew Williams (Mandi); great nieces, Amasia Reid and Lexi Williams; and many beloved aunts and cousins.

A memorial service via Zoom is planned for January 9, 2021, at 2 p.m. MT. The family encourages anyone wanting to honor Melanie to donate to the Lupus Foundation of America (support.lupus.org).
