How low can you go? Resident annoyed by low-flying Army aircraft

A Fountain resident took this picture of a helicopter in her neighborhood. She said these flyovers have been frequent and noisy.

Fort Carson announced last week that there would be a new round of noise-generating training Jan. 5-17, this time by the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion, U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command.

But one Fountain resident says she has experienced low-flying aircraft for many months, and she doesn't like how close they are to her neighborhood.

"It's noisy and harassing," Jutta M. said. "On average, one helicopter per week flies over our neighborhood, and I suggest it's lower than 1,000 feet."
