The second stimulus check for $600 being distributed to Americans has led to unprecedented online scams that broke the $200 million milestone. The IRS reported 2.6 million payments totaling $4.4 billion were made in Colorado where residents should be on high-alert.
The FTC has received more than 275,643 reports of fraud relating to Coronavirus, costing victims more than $211 million. Google reported during the first stimulus it was blocking 18 million scam emails every single day; and 150,000 fraudulent stimulus check sites were launched.
