Fountain Police Department announced Feb. 17 that officers had arrested two teenage boys, 15 and 16 years old, for a home invasion that had occurred a day earlier on Ventana Lane, west of Fountain Mesa Road near Fire Station No. 2.

A resident in a home on Ventana was violently assaulted Tuesday, Feb. 16, and the suspects stole firearms and left the scene prior to FPD officers’ arrival.

Within 30 minutes, officers identified a residence in the 8000 block of Lodi Lane where the suspects had possibly gone. Two juvenile males were taken into custody on unrelated warrants. It was later confirmed the same two juveniles were identified as the suspects in the earlier home invasion.

A search warrant was conducted of the residence and officers located the stolen property. The two juvenile males were later charged with: aggravated robbery, first degree burglary, second degree assault and theft.
