Fountain grad works to overcome the stigmas of being a black prosecutor

When you ask most prosecutors why they chose this profession, the most common answer is the pursuit of justice. That reigns true for me as well, but being a black prosecutor means more than just pursuing justice.

There is a stigma that I carry around as a black prosecutor that I am somehow a sellout or not supporting the black community. My father was born in Louisiana and grew up during the Civil Rights era when being a black prosecutor would have been hard to imagine. I grew up an Army Brat, the product of an interracial relationship, and lived around the world before finding my hometown...
