2s & 3s Outdoors: Sights & Sounds
Thursdays, March 11 & 25, 10–11:15 a.m.
Explore nature with your 2- or 3-year-old through interactive activities, a story and a short hike. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Prepaid registration required.
Nature’s Classroom Field Trip Series
Nature’s Classroom gives students the opportunity to explore the natural world through activities such as puppet shows, games, hikes, experimentation, and more! Students have fun, get outside, and learn Colorado State Learning Standards along the way. $4 per person including parents and siblings. prepaid registration required. Storytime at Rabbit Gulch
Saturday, March 20, 10 a.m.
Join a naturalist to hear special wildlife stories outdoors at Fountain Creek’s Rabbit Gulch story area, then enjoy the trails on your own. Geared towards a pre-school audience. Reservation required. Free!
Nature Adventures: The Very Busy Tree
Thursdays, April 1 & 15, 10–11:30 a.m.
Children ages 3-6, with an adult, will enjoy puppet shows or stories, crafts, hands-on activities, and discovery time on the trail. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Prepaid registration required.
Chocolate Bunny Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 3, 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m. & 1 p.m.
Join the Bunny Guide to search for eggs along the trail and exchange your finds for a chocolate bunny! This fun and educational Fountain Creek tradition has been adapted to offer a safer experience during the pandemic. Prepaid registration required for every person in attendance, regardless of age.
2s & 3s Outdoors: Busy Beavers
Thursdays, April 8 & 22, 10–11:15 a.m.
Explore nature with your 2 or 3 year-old through interactive activities, a story, and a short hike. $3 per person including siblings and adults. Prepaid registration required.
Adult Birding Club
Become a more confident birder over the next year by slowly learning details, tips, and tricks each month! Classroom sessions will be held in-person at Fountain Creek Nature Center; Field trips will be at various places in El Paso County. $15 per meeting.
