WSD3 refinances to save $2.2 million over 15 years

Widefield School District 3 took advantage of the historically low-interest rate climate and on March 16 refinanced a portion of their 2018 bonds that were used to build Grand Mountain School and other capital projects around the district. The auditoriums of both Widefield High School and Mesa Ridge High School were renovated as well.
The opportunity to refinance a portion of those bonds will save the taxpayers of Widefield School District 3 over $2.2 million over the next 15 years, officials said.
