WSD3 to offer unique summer courses to keep kids engaged

Cooking and squid dissection are just two of the many classes offered by WSD3 this summer for secondary students.

In a first for Widefield School District 3, students going into grades 6-12 next school year will have the opportunity to select from more than 30 unique topics in the Summer Enrichment Academy, with courses as varied as squid dissection, improv comedy, construction basics and cooking.

Classes will be held at various schools throughout the district, with most lasting three to five days throughout June and July – giving kids a chance to select a few different ones, if they desire.
