Security Library will be holding the following events in April:

In celebration of National Library Week, patrons will be rewarded for using their library card. Every time you visit in the month of April, you will receive a raffle ticket. Come often and save them up for a chance to win fun prizes!

The library’s annual Poetry Contest for National Poetry Month started April 1. Submit poems (including blackout poetry submissions and spoken word) by April 30 for a chance to win Barnes and Noble gift cards. Go to securitypubliclibrary.org or call 391-3190 for more information.

A book sale will take place April 12-24 outside the library, on the building’s north side by the flag pole. Stock will be replenished as items are sold, so be sure to drop by more than once to see what’s new. Hardbacks are $1, softcovers are 50 cents, children’s and teens are 25 cents and audiovisual items are $1.

Children in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in the 27th Annual Bookmark Contest promoting our upcoming Summer Reading Program! Stop by the library or visit the “What’s Happening - Bookmark Design Contest” page of the website for instructions and to print out the form. All entries must be received by April 30.
