FPD announces another arrest involving child sexual assault

A 32-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old – the second such arrest this week.
Fountain Police Department (FPD) announced Wayne Walter Lambert was arrested without incident on Wednesday.
FPD began an investigation into a report of sexual assault on the 15-year-old on April 8. During the investigation, it was determined the victim and the suspect met through a social media app called MeetMe. Lambert has been charged with sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
FPD detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating any additional witnesses or victims who may have information pertaining to this case. If you have any information, please call Detective Robyn Abrams at (719) 382-4289.
"We want to remind you of the dangers of children using social media," Public Safety Information Officer Lisa Schneider said in a news release. "Please be engaged with your children and use parental controls on their phones to keep them as safe as possible."
