Limb Preservation Foundation launches peer support program

Hunter Treschl lost his left arm in a shark attack while visiting North Carolina five summers ago. He got involved with the Limb Preservation Foundation afterward, and has become a great advocate for their programming and for building a community with fellow patients.
With its substantial active and retired military population, limb loss is a familiar concern for Fountain Valley residents. What many may not know unless they have close family members struggling with limb loss is that the recovery process can be very involved. Marcy Rubic, who works as executive director for the Colorado-based Limb Preservation Foundation (LPF), highlighted the time it takes to heal.
