High school students help spruce up community garden

The Widefield High School AVID group was out last Saturday helping to spiff up the Community Garden at Talbott Park.

Widefield Parks and Recreation is hosting a Pollinator Party at Talbott Park (401 Dean Drive in Widefield) on May 6 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to unveil the most recent facelifts to the Community Garden.

The free event will start with Tuns of Fun Food Truck providing dinner and local vendors Julie Bee's Honey Caramels and The Colorado Honey Lady selling caramels and honey. After a ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m., guests will be able to see changes made to the community garden, including up...
