State gains extra congressional seat

Colorado is one of six states in the nation to gain a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, an indication of the population growth in recent years.
Last week the U.S. Census Bureau announced official population counts for apportionment from the 2020 Census. Colorado was apportioned eight congressional districts, an increase of one seat in Colorado's congressional delegation.
