Replacing toxic foams at fire departments

Hey Friends – Colorado announced an exciting takeback and disposal program for PFAS-containing AFFF foams!

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will use money allotted in its PFAS fund to buy back PFAS foams from qualified entities (i.e. fire departments) with enough money for them to buy PFAS-free replacements. They will highlight two products reviewed by the Green Screen as having safer chemistries and low risk to the environment.
