WHS Percussion Quartet wins 1st place

A student quartet from Widefield High School has won first place in the second annual Denver Percussion Competition. During the 3rd Quarter, WHS students Austin Almeida, Alyssa Burk, Kieran Doolittle, and Alexandria Lopez rehearsed and recorded a video of "Seeing the World", a piece for marimba quartet composed by Matt Moore. In addition to receiving a Superior rating in the District 3 Virtual Solo & Ensemble Contest, the quartet also received top marks from Denver Percussion.
