Last updated 6/1/2021 at 11:53am

The Pikes Peak Genealogical Society June 9 virtual meeting will feature the topic “Resources for Researching Your War of 1812 Ancestors Online” by Elizabeth Swanay O’Neal.

The War of 1812 may be a “forgotten war” for some, but many valuable genealogical resources were created as a result of this conflict. Could your ancestor have been involved in America’s second Revolutionary War? Find out which resources are available to bring your War of 1812 ancestor’s service to life.

Currently, PPGS meetings are held by Zoom; invitations are emailed to members. If you’re a member and haven’t received an invitation by the day before the meeting, please email [email protected] If you’re not a member and want to view this program with us, email the president: [email protected]

On June 9, the Zoom hangout begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7.

The Pikes Peak Genealogical Society traditionally meets on the second Wednesday of each month in The Venue, Library 21c, when the library is open to public meetings. Guests are welcome. For more information, call PPLD, 531-6333, ext. 1252.
