Boundary changes coming to Fountain elementary schools

Boundary changes for Fountain elementary schools include a shift for students in the area shaded in red, with all new residents in that area going to Mesa instead of Eagleside starting this fall. Existing residents may opt in to Mesa this fall, but they are not required to do so until the fall of 2022. Students going into 4th or 5th grades in 2022 may still opt to attend Eagleside, but district transportation will not be available.

Based on projected student enrollment and new residential developments in Fountain, the Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 School Board voted to approve three changes to elementary school boundaries at their meeting on June 23. These changes are to ensure room for growth and adequate building capacity at all four elementary schools in Fountain for the next five years, officials said. The boundary changes are outlined below:
