El Paso County Sheriff's Deputy Garcia mows the lawn of an older resident in the rain after responding to a "HELP" sign she had posted on her front door.

Residents in one Widefield neighborhood are thanking a law enforcement officer for going above and beyond the call of duty to help one of their own recently.

CJ Jardin reports that an older neighbor had a "HELP" sign on her door, so Jardin called the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. Two sheriff's deputies responded.

"After the officers talked to this senior, they found out she was distraught about the growth of her lawn and didn't know what else to do," Jardin said.

The next thing Jardin saw was one of the deputies with the woman's "barely working lawn mower."
