An overnight kitchen fire at Hangry Ohana restaurant in Fountain did minor damage last week, and the restaurant was able to reopen a few days later.

An employee at a nearby restaurant called the fire in around 1:45 a.m. July 7, and crews from Fountain, Fort Carson, Security, Stratmoor and Hanover responded.

The first engine on scene found heavy smoke coming from the building. An interior attack was initiated confining the fire to only the kitchen. No injuries were reported.
