Eileen (Masterson) Quaney passed peacefully at home on November 16, 2020, at the age of 96 with her children at her side.

Eileen was born October 6, 1924, in Clonmel, Kansas, to JF and Theresa Masterson. She was the fifth of seven children who all preceded her in death.

She married LF "Red" Quaney in Wichita, Kansas, on April 27, 1944. He passed away in 2000. They had six children: Larry (D) (Teresa), Ken (Pat), Marilyn Green (Bob), Karen, Sharon Wienecke (Dave) and Kevin (Michelle), along with 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Red and Eileen purchased the first home in Widefield in 1958. They joined Holy Family/St. Dominic Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Bernadette Circle and a 60-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court #1794, holding all offices and some state offices. Eileen was the first member in her court to attend a National Convention in Baltimore in 1980. This was where Eileen purchased her first rooster, leading to a huge collection.

After Eileen retired from Peterson AFB civil service, she further enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, crafts, gardening, church activities, bowling and traveling. She had a love for all desserts, especially pie! Eileen is remembered for her many delicious meals, welcoming smile and heartfelt laugh. She maintained childhood friends and gathered many friends throughout her life.

Celebration of Life is Friday, July 23, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 S. Hwy. 85, Security, CO. The rosary is at 12:15 p.m. followed by the mass at 1 p.m.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
