Post Office named for fallen Army chaplain

Congressman Doug Lamborn and members of Chaplain Dale Goetz's family unveil a plaque at a ceremony renaming the Briargate U.S. Post Office in northern Colorado Springs in Goetz's honor last Friday.

On Friday, July 23, Congressman Doug Lamborn, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), held a ceremony that renamed the Briargate Post Office building at 8585 Criterion Drive in Colorado Springs, to the Chaplain Captain Dale Goetz Post Office. The ceremony was held after Lamborn's bill (H.R. 4725) passed unanimously through the U.S. House and Senate in late 2020 and was signed into law by President Donald J. Trump on Dec. 21, 2020.
