Good morning. I hope all have enjoyed a nice start to the week so far. I'd like to update residents on an upcoming commissioner board meeting where public input is being requested as well as highlight a family-friendly event at the Fountain Creek Regional Park on Sept. 4.

El Paso County residents are invited to attend and participate in an upcoming meeting in which the county will discuss a possible November ballot question to fund road infrastructure projects and deferred parks maintenance. The meeting will be held during the board's regularly scheduled Tuesday meeting on Aug. 24. El Paso County residents can participate in this meeting either in-person or remotely. Commissioner Board Meetings begin at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Hearing Room at Centennial Hall, located at 200 S. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

All meetings can be viewed online at http://www.elpasoco.com and clicking on the "TV" icon in the upper right-hand corner, on the county's Facebook page, or watch the meetings on Comcast Channel 59 and Century Link channel 1089. Citizens can comment on proposals in-person, or through this Microsoft Teams link. Those wishing to comment can also do so on the county's Facebook page.
