Wag of the Week

Spirit

Greetings from Adoptable Animal Rescue Force! This is the initial posting regarding dogs available through AARF, for which I volunteer. Most of the dogs are boarded at Tumbleweed Country Kennels on Old Pueblo Road (only a mile or two from Link). As a volunteer, I can go with you to meet and play with dogs you're interested in, a few times, until you make a decision.

Spirit

This week we feature Spirit, 8 years old, who was an emotional support animal. She has a sweet and gentle disposition and is happiest when she is with people. She has marked separation anxiety and will be best with an older person/couple who can be with her all of the time. She is very loyal and loving. She needs medium length walks, or at least room to run in a secure, fenced yard, lots of attention. And, of course, a spot on the couch next to you, to be happy (and for you to be happy!). She does well with other dogs and with kids (cats unknown). I spent an hour playing with Spirit about a week ago. She has a tattoo! – though it's not really a tattoo – it's a white marking on her rump that looks like a duck or chicken head and neck – thus, she can be easily identified. If you've wanted chickens but (naturally!) prefer dogs, here's your chance to have both! She adores belly rubs, that's for sure. Look no further for your next best friend!

Call Julie at 375-1200 or Cathy at 761-5320. We're happy to answer any questions, and look forward to heavenly match-making! We are in great need of foster homes. Thank you for considering AARF.
