Never fear – your new best friend is here! Thank you for considering adopting from a local rescue. Adoptable Animal Rescue Force of Colorado has many dogs and puppies of many breeds for you to consider adding to your family. Most of them are boarded at Tumbleweed Kennels on Old Pueblo Road (only a mile or two from Link and a little farther from me). As a volunteer, I can go with you to meet and play with dogs you're interested in, a few times, until you find your "prefurred" pet.
This week we feature Ted, a sweet Pittie mix who has a gentle spirit and loves kids. He is a stray from the Fountain area, and much-loved by his fosters. He gets along with other dogs, cats an unknown. He's 1-2 years old and up to date on vaccinations, as our dogs always are.
We also have four puppies, including a pair of white Husky females about 6 months old. Aussie/Shepherd puppies came in Tuesday. Even if you can't adopt, we are in great need of foster homes. There is no financial responsibility on your part, just love and attention.
AARF also holds adoption fairs at Petsmart on Powers Saturdays 11-2: 2965 N New Center Pt., Colorado Springs, CO 80922 Note: some animals are too skittish or shy to come to the fair (traffic in parking lot, crowds, all that noise and mayhem, i.e.), so it's best to check the website for those also staying at Tumbleweed, and/or to call me at 375-1200 or Cathy at 761-5320. We're happy to answer any questions, and look forward to doing, hopefully, what we do our doggone best. Please see pictures on the website and/or Facebook page. Thank you!
