Space grant to benefit WHS class

Space Foundation, a nonprofit located in Colorado Springs, has received a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Fifteen grants total were awarded through the National Defense Education Program (NDEP); Space Foundation was the only nonprofit out of the 15 recipients. This grant is also Space Foundation's largest since its founding in 1983.

Space Foundation will get the funds over a three-year period, and use them for their Junior Space Entrepreneur Program (JSEP). JSEP has classes in several Colorado high schools, including a class being taught at Widefield High Scho...
