Holiday events with the Senior Center
Christmas Lunch – Dec. 16: Reservations required; members have priority. Due to the number of people expected, only those who have been vaccinated can make reservations. Barb Bragdon will provide entertainment, with Bingo to follow.
Harmonizers Christmas Show — Dec. 17: The Harmonizers will present the Christmas Show during lunch.
Song Spinners Dinner/Show — Dec. 17: Come and enjoy a great meal provided by Rocky Mountain PACE at one of our major annual fundraisers. Tickets are $10 each. The Song Spinners are a very talented group of Seniors who perform a wonderful winter themed show that will help to provide some holiday spirit.
New Year’s Eve Celebration – Dec. 30: Join us as we bring in the New Year a day early. The Front Range Big Band will provide entertainment. We will have light snacks, desserts, beverages and sparkling cider. The fun starts at 5 p.m., we will ring in the new year at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $7.

School District 3 Toy Drive – November and December: We are teaming up with Widefield School District 3 to collect new toys for the Holiday Toy Drive. To donate, bring in the new toy and place on the stage. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
Holiday closures — The center will be closed after Bingo on Dec. 23 through Dec. 27, as well as Dec. 31-Jan. 3.
Other regular events
BINGO—Each Thursday at 1 p.m.
$1 Ice Cream Social—3rd Thursday each month.The Harmonizers will perform Christmas favorites at the Dec. 16 social.
Dementia Support Group meets every third Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at the center in the conference room. The public is invited to attend.
Transportation is provided by appointment only for seniors 60-plus or non-elderly disabled. Transportation is provided to: medical appointments, congregate meals, shopping, personal business, and senior center. To make reservations, call 719-600-2643, with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Special trips planned
(Note: For the safety of everyone, all trip participants must have received their COVID-19 Vaccine shots, and provide proof of vaccination when making reservations. No exceptions will be made).
Christmas on the Ranch – Flying W. Ranch – Dec. 10: Celebrate “Christmas at the Ranch,” with a meal of steak, chicken, asparagus, potatoes, artesian rolls and dessert. The Ranch’s show will include Christmas carols, hymns, and other holiday favorites. Transportation, meal and show cost $68 per person.
Denver Christkindlemarket – Dec. 14: Experience the warmth and charm of an authentic German Holiday Market in Denver. We will leave the center at 9 a.m., market admission is free. The round-trip transportation is $20, seats are limited so reserve now (center members have priority).
Iron Springs Chateau – Dec. 21: Join us on Tuesday, Dec. 21 for a good ole evening of Christmas fun and food. Transportation, meal and show are $50 per person. We will leave the center at 5 p.m. and return at 9-9:15 p.m.
The Kitty Paster Thrift Shoppe is open Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and has many items for sale at reasonable prices. Proceeds help support the Senior Center.
The shop offers clean clothing, household goods, music and more.
Masks are optional if vaccinated, required if not.
The thrift store is accepting donations during their business hours. The following are NOT accepted: electronics, large furniture, mattresses or hazardous waste materials.
