Officials are investigating an accident involving a Widefield School District bus full of students on Dec. 1 that left a section of wall at Fountain Mesa Road and Hurley Drive destroyed.

Fountain Police responded to the scene around 3 p.m. The collision also involved a passenger vehicle.

"When officers arrived, they found extensive damage to a perimeter fence of a residence and a vehicle," and FPD report said. "The school bus initially left the scene but did return after officers arrived."

Officials said there were no known injuries; however parents and students stated later that several students did seek medical care. The investigation is ongoing.
