The Salvation Army Fountain Valley Corps has a donor willing to match year-end contributions up to $10,000.

Are you looking to help make a difference in the community, perhaps through a year-end donation to a worthy organization? Here are a few suggestions from vetted groups that could use a hand.

Connections 4 Life Center

The Connections 4 Life food pantry has a donor who will match all donations received through the end of 2021! C4L is located at the corner of Fontaine Boulevard and Hwy. 85-87 behind the new county health center. C4L provides food, household items, life skills classes and more.

To learn more about C4L or to donate to their cause, you can visit their website here: http://www.connections4lifecenter.org/. You are also welcome to mail/bring a donation to the food pantry at: 6436 US Hwy 85, Suite U, Fountain, CO 80817.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army homeless shelter in Colorado Springs is in desperate need of men's pants and shoes at this time. If you are able to donate these or other items, please bring them to the Salvation Army RJ Montgomery Center at 709 S. Sierra Madre St., Colorado Springs, between 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Right here in the Fountain Valley, a generous donor has agreed to match contributions up to $10,000 for the Virtual Red Kettle Campaign. Donate here: https://fountainvalley.salvationarmy.org/?fbclid=IwAR1xGDPTZrN6k71xxGBr1dDJcNr_aiagCADFI7L86Ew2KCAxskjfP3oWA60

God's Pantry

God's Pantry thrift store in Widefield needs a new (or lightly used) box truck with low mileage for collecting large items. The current truck makes 8-10 pickups and deliveries per day and has over 272,000 miles on it. Individuals who cannot donate a truck can donate toward God's Pantry buying a new one. To donate, contact [email protected] or call 719-382-0643.

To donate money to newly formed nonprofit Dare to Care, go to http://www.daretocare.care. For other donations, call Elizabeth Eagle at (719) 644-0338.
