Family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration at Children's Museum

Last updated 12/29/2021 at 10:58am

The Pikes Peak Children's Museum will ring in the new year at noon -- kid style!

On Friday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., the Pikes Peak Children's Museum, along with their presenting sponsor, Children's Hospital Colorado, will host their 13th annual NOON Year's Eve celebration at the Colorado Springs Event Center. The museum will celebrate the new year in big city style, with a countdown to a balloon drop at noon, confetti popping, music, dancing, character meet-and-greets and lots of engaging hands-on S.T.E.A.M. activities for kids.

There will also be a silent auction and ADULT Alcohol Pull to help with fundraising efforts. This year is especially important because PPCM has finally opened doors to a physical location as of April 2021! They are not done growing and expanding what they provide to the community, so fundraisers like this are even more important now.

The NOON Year's Eve celebration is a hallmark of the Pikes Peak Children's Museum.

"We are so excited to be able to offer this super fun Noon Year's Eve event once again to the children and families of the Pikes Peak region," says Annette Bone, board president. "We missed not having it last year to celebrate with you all!"

Tickets are currently on sale for the following: Family up to 6 is $35 and Individual tickets are $10, with kids under 2 years old for Free. The day of the event, tickets will be as follows at the door: Family up to 6 is $45 and Individual tickets are $15. The price did increase slightly this year, but the deal is still amazing and it is still for a great cause! Buy your tickets here:

They are so glad to bring this event back with the hiatus they had to take last year due to Covid-19. While they are fully aware that Covid-19 is not behind us, they feel comfortable offering this event again. Please note that they will have masks and hand sanitizer available at the event as needed. PPCM would recommend that those that are not vaccinated, please wear a mask. And of course, if you are not feeling well, please stay home.

This event has some great sponsors this year, including Children's Hospital Colorado, Macaroni Kid Colorado Springs, Colorado Soccer Buddies, Royally Enchanted Princess and Character Parties, CC Mobile Art Truck, Signarama South Colorado Springs, and Five Star Decor.

It is not too late to get involved.

"We honestly can't do this event without all of the community helping in different ways," says Nohea March, Executive Director. Sponsors, vendors, silent auction items, alcohol donations, etc. are still welcome. If you are wanting to participate and advertise your business, please reach out to us now, rather than later. However, we will take new businesses up until Wednesday, Dec. 29. For more info, visit:
