"I've always thought I had books in me," Audrey Shrive reflected.
Shrive, a Security-Widefield resident since 1991, always assumed that if she wrote a book, it would be something historical about her family's history.
"I've been writing and telling stories all of my life. I come from a family of writers and storytellers. My great-grandmother wrote and had published stories of their family pioneering in South Dakota.
