The Best Ranger Competition and Best Sapper Competition

Staff Sgt. Ethan Danielson (3-29 FA, 3ABCT) won 1st place in the Best Sapper/Best Ranger competition tryouts at Fort Carson last week. Sgt. Steven Luque (1-68 AR, 3ABCT) and Staff Sgt. Dylan Why (HHBN) placed 2nd and 3rd in the rigorous competition out of 12 candidates from the Ivy Division.

Last week the 4th Infantry Division conducted tryouts for the Best Ranger Competition and Best Sapper Competition on Fort Carson to select the top competitors to represent 4th Inf. Div. to compete in the Army-wide Best Sapper and Ranger Competitions in April 2022.

Events included an Army Physical Fitness Test (ACFT), unknown distance run, land navigation, weapons qualification, a swim test, medical and tactical lanes and numerous physical events across Fort Carson.
