In Loving Memory of Maryellen Bridges

March 20, 1950 - February 1, 2022

Maryellen Bridges, 71, of Widefield, died Feb. 1, 2022, in her Fountain home following a struggle with cancer and sepsis.

She was a retired secretary from School Districts 8 and 3. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

She was born March 20, 1950, in Pueblo, Colorado, to Leona and George Marshall. She had lived in the area all of her life.

She married Dan Bridges Dec. 25, 1970, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; her sons, Jason and Matt Bridges; her daughter, Amanda Tymensky; her grandchildren, Brandon Bridges and Joey and Alexia Tymensky; her sister, Patty Hamrick; her son-in-law, Adam Tymensky; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Earl Marshall.

A viewing is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain. A service is scheduled for 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at First United Methodist Church of Fountain, 1003 N. Santa Fe Ave., Fountain. A reception will follow from 11 a.m.-noon.


Burial will take place at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made the First United Methodist Church of Fountain.
