Tax prep returns to Senior Center

AARP soon will be offering tax preparation for seniors at the Fountain Valley Senior Center. If seniors would like to make an appointment, they need to call 719- 508-2635.

Regular monthly events

BINGO—Each Thursday at 1 p.m.

Dementia Support Group meets every third Monday of the month at 2 p.m. at the center in the conference room. The public is invited to attend.

Cardio Drumming meets at the center every Tuesday at 2 p.m. for a half-hour of music, exercise and fun.

Transportation is provided by appointment only for seniors 60-plus or non-elderly disabled. Transportation is provided to: medical appointments, congregate meals, shopping, personal business, and senior center. To make reservations, call 719-600-2643, with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Special events coming up

Friday, Feb. 11 — Barb Bragdon Valentine’s Dinner & Show at FVSC. Dinner at 5:30 p.m., show at 6. Cost is $10.

Tuesday, Feb. 15 — Miramont Castle Tea. Cost is $39/person. Leave from FVSC at 10 a.m. Call or visit office for tickets.

Wednesday, Feb. 23 — Dinner on the Town, 5 p.m., at Pueblo Viejo, 310 S. Academy Blvd. Call the center to RSVP. Transportation available.

Friday, Feb. 25 — Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum & Lunch. Leave FVSC at 10 a.m. Lunch to follow at Brakeman’s Burgers. Reserve a spot at 719-600-2644. FVSC members have priority.

Saturday, March 5 — Mardi Gras Party at the Center. Includes dinner, dancing, music by the Front Range Band. Cost is $10.

Tickets available starting Feb. 22.
