Wag of the Week
Last updated 2/22/2022 at 2:21pm
Hello readers and dog-lovers! This is a repeat of last week's article on waiting dogs: Please bear with us as one of our main volunteers, who does so much, including so much transport, retires. Also, please note: If I neglect to call you back, please call again. I may have just gotten busy or misplaced your number. My dog-notebook was hiding for a bit!
We have so many waiting animals, all medium to medium-large dogs, and they're all here in Fountain at Tumbleweed Country Kennels on Old Pueblo Road. For instance, Bambi is a gentle and affectionate Pittie mix, probably part Lab. She's about a year old and needs a new home because someone in her family developed an allergy to her. She's grown up around children. She's playful and gentle, a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly. But we also still have Taz, Paris, Jasper, Buddy, Brody, and Sam. You can find information on these sweeties on the website below. Some are featured also on the Facebook page. Note and plea: If you can even commit to fostering vs. adopting, that would be amazing, and we love and appreciate you. With fostering, all bills are paid, and food is provided. You just provide the affection and the home. Please spread the word about these wonderful, patiently-waiting and deserving doggies.
AARF holds adoption fairs at Petsmart on Powers Saturdays 11-2: 2965 N New Center Pt., Colorado Springs, CO 80922. CHECK the website/Facebook for any updates (such as inclement weather. Sometimes the fair is right here in Fountain at Tumbleweed Kennels). More info, & call any time: Julie at 719-375-1200 (land line) or Cathy at 719-761-5320.
