On Friday, Feb. 25, at approximately 12:25 p.m., Fountain police officers were dispatched to Chase Bank, 7780 Fountain Mesa Road, for a robbery.

The suspect was described as 25- to 35-year-old white male, approximately 5-foot-five to 5-foot-9, with a thin to medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with "Tommy Hilfiger" in white writing and blue jeans. The suspect fled in a possible dark colored SUV, westbound on Mesa Ridge Parkway.

As a precaution, nearby schools were placed on secure perimeter status until law enforcement activity subsided to prevent anyone from entering the building.

"Staff and students were never in danger," Janitell Junior High Principal Sean McCune said in a letter to parents.

This continues to be an active investigation. Anyone who can identify this individual or has any other information reference this investigation, is asked to contact El Paso County Communications at (719) 390-5555.
