Free Medicare classes
Let’s face it, Medicare can be confusing! The Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging and Security Public Library are partnering for the 2nd year to provide classes for people approaching Medicare, their families, and caregivers. These classes will be online, in webinar format.
March 16 at 5:30 p.m: Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage).
March 23 at 5:30 p.m: Other Health Insurance Options (PERA COBRA FEHB, Tri-Care, Medicaid, and Employer Group Insurance)
Classes are provided at NO COST. Registration is required.Call 719-391-3190 to get registered or go to our website (securitypubliclibrary.org) and look under “Medicare Education Sessions” for more details.
Virtual trivia night
Do you know a little about a lot?? Love playing Jeopardy from your living room, but for some reason they haven’t asked you on the show yet? Join us this Friday, March 18, for the Virtual Trivia Night at 7 p.m. Register online at securitypubliclibrary.org or call 719-391-3196.
COVID tests and masks
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has provided the Security Public Library with COVID-19 at-home tests. Pick-up is available during regular library hours. Limit of 4 boxes per person. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, please utilize the curbside service by parking in a designated library spot, calling the number on the sign, and a staff member will bring out a bag of tests. As always, this distribution is while supplies last.The library still has plenty of masks available as well.
