In Loving Memory of Martha "Faye" Sikes

February 5, 1937 - March 24, 2022

Martha "Faye" Sikes passed away on March 24, 2022, in Colorado Springs, at the age of 85. She was a long-time Fountain resident with many ties to the community. She was a beautiful mother, loving wife, and an enduring grandmother who loved her family more than anything.

Faye was born on February 5, 1937, to Herbert and Thelma Nesbitt in Minden, Louisiana. She was married to James Albert Sikes Sr. for 61 years. During their years of marriage, her husband's military career with the U. S. Army took them on many wild adventures which allowed them to share long-lasting memories together. Both Faye and James enjoyed their Saturday night card games with lifelong friends they met through the military. Faye loved to be at the racetrack watching her husband race and then shared the same joy watching their son James Jr. She loved camping trips (only if the T.V. worked), taking car rides, listening to Elvis, and enjoying her soda and cheesecake.

Faye leaves behind children Linda (Ron) Chalou, James (Kimberly) Sikes, Jr., grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Charles Jr. (Charles III), Rachael (Gavin, Owen, and Brody), Dustin, John Jr., Austin, and Dillon.

She was preceded in death by husband, James A. Sikes, Sr., daughter Sandra Soica, her parents, brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with services to begin at noon, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Hwy 85-87, Fountain, Colorado 80817.
